randy chappelRandy Chappel, President

Prior to forming NLM, Randy was a partner at Goff Moore Strategic Partners, L.P. ("GMSP") in Fort Worth, Texas, a private investment vehicle formed to manage $150 million of the partners’ capital and the capital of the family of Richard Rainwater. Before the formation of GMSP in 1998, Randy worked for Rainwater, Inc., Natural Gas Partners, L.P. ("NGP"), and Crescent Real Estate Equities. Randy earned his A.B. in Economics in 1989 and an M.B.A. in 1994, both from Stanford University. At the Stanford Business School, Randy was an Arjay Miller Scholar, an award conferred upon those whose academic record places them in the top 10% of their class. During 2003 and 2004, Randy spent his winters in Alaska with his family and became the first Texas resident to complete the 1,100 mile long Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race from Anchorage to Nome.

 

james collet James Collet, Managing Director

Prior to his association with NLM, Jim held several senior executive positions with institutionally financed companies in a variety of industries. Most recently, Jim served as President and Chief Executive Officer of JetStar Energy Services, Inc. an oilfield pressure pumping company located in North Texas. JetStar was formed in May 2005 and grew rapidly via organic growth and acquisition to become one of the largest independent pressure pumping companies operating in the Mid-Continent region. The company was sold in March 2007 to a NYSE competitor for 4.5X the initial sponsor investment, generating a 120% IRR to the shareholders. Jim holds BBA and MBA degrees, with distinction, from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.

 

bradley mcbrideBradley McBride, Associate

Bradley McBride joined NLM Capital Partners in July of 2007. He is responsible for assisting in the oversight of existing portfolio companies, as well as evaluating and processing new opportunities. Prior to joining NLM, Bradley was an investment banking analyst with Southwest Securities, Inc. in Dallas, Texas where he supported a variety of transactions including M&A, private placements and public offerings. Bradley earned his BA in both finance and accounting from TCU. He is a level III candidate in the Chartered Financial Analyst program.
