NLM has a particular interest in leveraged buildups in fragmented industries that can benefit from economic cycle changes. While we generally invest in control positions of portfolio companies, we do consider minority ownership positions in select situations.

Our target transaction size is $15-$150 million with equity investments between $3-$30 million. In addition to the committed capital under management, NLM has an extensive network of co-investors for projects and opportunities that may require larger capital allocations.

Generally, NLM will not pursue an investment in any entity or business whose success depends on the widespread acceptance of new or novel technology; that has limited operating revenues; or that is engaged in direct retail activity, the restaurant business, or any oil or natural gas related business.
